JOB SUMMARY

As a Principal Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction for our healthcare technology products. Through your influence and deep product management and industry experience, you will lead cross-functional teams, define competitive strategies, and orchestrate the expansion of our product offerings into new market segments. Your extensive experience and expertise will be crucial in managing a portfolio of related products that collectively revolutionize the pharmacy landscape.

In line with the broader commercial strategy set by the Director and/or Manager of the team, the Principal Product Manager manages the research, business cases, development, and launches of products within a portfolio. This job can work almost entirely independently, directly with customers, and may provide guidance to less experienced Product Management professionals.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership: Define an overarching product strategy that aligns with the company's mission, stretching beyond tactical execution to set the trajectory for transformative impact.
  • Roadmap Leadership: Develop and orchestrate a strategic product roadmap (in conjunction with the Manager or Director of the group), optimizing feature prioritization and resource allocation for maximum impact on business goals. During annual operating plan meetings and similar strategic discussions, provides actionable insights from market intelligence and product research to support the Director and other business unit leaders.
  • Product Vision: Define and articulate a compelling product vision that aligns with company objectives, addressing complex healthcare challenges and aligning with emerging industry trends.
  • Financial Accountability: Understand the drivers of product profitability and assist leadership in
    ensuring that products are hitting financial targets including budgeted revenue and margin growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify evolving trends, competitive landscape dynamics, and high-impact innovation opportunities.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and assess new market opportunities, leading initiatives to adapt the product for diverse segments and drive exponential growth.
  • Requirement Strategy: Collaborate with key stakeholders, industry experts, and executive leadership to drive the product strategy, gathering profound insights to shape visionary product roadmaps.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams, seamlessly
    orchestrating efforts across engineering, design, sales, marketing, and executive leadership. Provides guidance to less-experienced Product Management professionals and may assist in internal trainings or mentorship on behalf of the Director.
  • Human-Centered Design: Champion a user-centric design philosophy, ensuring the creation of
    interfaces and experiences that amplify pharmacists' capabilities and expertise.
  • Iterative Excellence: Implement iterative development methodologies, utilizing advanced data analysis and user feedback to drive continuous product enhancements and optimizations.
  • Go-to-Market Mastery: Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to craft sophisticated go-to-market strategies that establish the product as an industry standard.
  • Performance Analytics: Define and monitor an extensive range of performance metrics, translating data insights into strategic decisions and tactical improvements. Conducts product pilot tests, customer trials, focus groups, and other product concept testing to gather customer feedback and to determine the product’s potential return on investment. Measures and evaluates key performance indicators for the specific product to assess its’ potential viability and ongoing performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure rigorous adherence to regulatory compliance, industry standards,
    and data security throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Be the expert regarding your product and act as a leader internally and externally for your solution.
  • Innovation Hub: Champion innovation by spearheading internal initiatives, hackathons, and ideation sessions that fuel the creation of breakthrough solutions.
  • Product Management Expert: Be a senior leader on the Product team with deep industry knowledge and experience on how to identify, develop and launch product features and entirely new product lines. This role will be critical when establishing patterns and best practices across the team.


KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record (10 years) of impactful product management in healthcare technology or
    related sectors.
  • Deep understanding of pharmacy operations, healthcare workflows, and the challenges faced by
    pharmacists.
  • Proficiency in agile product development methodologies, strategic planning, and executive-level
    communication. Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and team motivation skills.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, driving data-driven approaches to decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating regulatory compliance and healthcare data security.
  • History of successfully launching and managing technology products at scale.
  • Innate strategic thinking, able to seamlessly align product objectives with overarching company vision.
  • Ability to establish relationships across the business as well as with our customers.
  • Ability to contribute to business cases in an effective manner in order to gain buy-in and secure
    funding for investment.
  • Expert-level understanding of product lifecycles from product-market-fit to product launch and Go-To-Market strategies.
  • Travel Requirements: Domestic and/or International, up to 10%


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum years of work experience: 10 years
  • Minimum level of education or education/experience: Bachelors or equivalent work experience
